North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central crushes South Caldwell

January 12, 2023: Hudson, NC 28638

Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 43-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Northwest Guilford won 64-21 in their recent league bout against Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 52 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. South Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 48-35 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
