In Thursday's league outing, the Dysart Demons (El Mirage, AZ) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), by a margin of 56-12.

The Demons (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ). The Colts go into the 4A Black Canyon outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Cortez smashed Tempe (Tempe, AZ), 37-27, in a league outing.

The Prospectors now own a 2-15 record. They play next when they host Vista Grande for a 4A Black Canyon outing on Tuesday, January 17. Apache Junction will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 52-33 league win over Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 7-12.
