The Burrell Bucs basketball team (Lower Burrell, PA), was toppled 57-45 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA)

The Vikings now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a WPIAL 3A 3 battle on Monday, January 16. Apollo Ridge will confront a Vikings team coming off a 62-26 league win over Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 10-4.

The Bucs (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Yough (Herminie, PA). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Yough beat McGuffey (Claysville, PA), 39-23, in a league battle.
