In Thursday's non-league outing, the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC), by a margin of 65-40.
The Rebels (10-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lakewood (Roseboro, NC). The Leopards go into the 1A Conference 10 outing with a 6-6 record. In their last outing, Lakewood smashed Union (Rose Hill, NC), 50-47, in a league outing.
The Bears now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mattamuskeet for a 1A Conference 1 outing on Friday, January 13. Bear Grass Charter will encounter a Lakers squad coming off a 55-28 league loss to Columbia (Columbia, NC). The Lakers record now stands at 0-10.
