Brainerd Panthers (Chattanooga, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN), 35-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Brainerd upgrades its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 2-9.

Next up, the Pounders play the Soddy Daisy Trojans (Soddy Daisy, TN) in a 3A District 6 bout, on Friday, January 13. Chattanooga Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 54-16 league win over East Ridge (Chattanooga, TN).
