Queensbury Spartans (Queensbury, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Broadalbin-Perth Patriots (Broadalbin, NY), 50-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Queensbury upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Scotia-Glenville (Scotia, NY) to clash with the Tartans in a Section 2 Foothills bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Tartans go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Scotia-Glenville lost 76-41 in their recent league bout against Schuylerville (Schuylerville, NY)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Gloversville Huskies/Dragons (Gloversville, NY) in a Section 2 Foothills bout, on Monday, January 16. Broadalbin-Perth will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Huskies/Dragons go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 51-44 non-league loss to Northville (Northville, NY).
