Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Cahokia Comanches (Cahokia, IL), 48-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Centralia upgrades its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Orphans travel to Salem (Salem, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-11. Salem lost 57-27 in their recent league bout against Breese Central (Breese, IL)

Next up, the Comanches play the Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL) in a South Seven bout, on Saturday, January 14. Cahokia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Terriers come into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 69-37 league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL).
