Illinois High School Basketball - Coal City routs Wilmington

January 12, 2023: Coal City, IL 60416

In Thursday's league outing, the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), by a margin of 57-30.

The Coalers (14-5) will now prepare for their outing against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets go into the Illinois Central 8 outing with a 11-11 record. In their last outing, Reed-Custer smashed Manteno (Manteno, IL), 32-24, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Beecher for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 18. Wilmington will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 39-33 league loss to Grant Park (Grant Park, IL). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-16.
