The Dinwiddie Generals basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Meadowbrook Monarchs to 35 in the Generals league triumph on Thursday.

The Generals now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amelia County for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 18. Dinwiddie will battle a Raiders team coming off a 57-35 league win over Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-6.

Next up, the Monarchs play the Deep Run Wildcats (Glen Allen, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Meadowbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 56-38 league win over Freeman (Richmond, VA).
