The Patrick County Cougars basketball team (Stuart, VA), was overwhelmed 61-33 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA)
The Buffaloes now possess a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glenvar for a Three Rivers battle on Friday, January 13. Floyd County will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 49-42 league win over Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-5.
The Cougars (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Piedmont contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Martinsville triumphed over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 48-4, in a league contest.
