New York High School Basketball - Southwestern thwarts Fredonia

The Southwestern Trojans (Jamestown, NY) basketball knocked off the host Fredonia Hillbillies (Fredonia, NY), 55-41 in Thursday's league test.
The Trojans (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Randolph (Randolph, NY). The Cardinals go into the Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West I test with a 6-4 record.
The Hillbillies now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Jamestown for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Fredonia will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 50-44 league win over Orchard Park (Orchard Park, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 7-4.
