Greater Latrobe Wildcats (Latrobe, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (Jefferson Hills, PA), 67-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Greater Latrobe upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA) to play the Warriors in a WPIAL 5A 3 bout on Monday, January 16. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Penn-Trafford lost 59-35 in their recent league bout against McKeesport (McKeesport, PA)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 65-31 non-league loss to Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA).
