The Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers basketball team (Falls Village, CT), was overwhelmed 50-26 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT)

The Chiefs now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwestern Regional for a Berkshire battle on Tuesday, January 17. Nonnewaug will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 73-29 league win over Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Highlanders record now stands at 9-0.

The Mountaineers (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Bears come into the non-league game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Thomaston routed Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT), 57-17, in a league game.
