The Laurel Bulldogs basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Lake Forest Spartans to 23 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodbridge for a Henlopen - Southern contest on Tuesday, January 17. Laurel will meet a Raiders team coming off a 64-48 non-league loss to Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, DE). The Raiders record now stands at 5-3.

The Spartans (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sussex Academy (Georgetown, DE). The Seahawks enter the Henlopen - Southern contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Sussex Academy was routed by Indian River (Dagsboro, DE), 50-29, in a league contest.
