The Warren County Wildcats basketball team (Front Royal, VA), was nudged 53-49 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Liberty Eagles (Bealeton, VA)

The Eagles now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to James Wood for a Northwestern battle on Tuesday, January 17. Liberty will battle a Colonels team coming off a 48-32 non-league win over Park View (Sterling, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 8-7.

The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Meridian (Falls Church, VA). The Mustangs come into the Northwestern battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, Meridian edged Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA), 41-25, in a non-league battle.
