Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals (Sibley, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen (Orange City, IA), 59-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sibley-Ocheyedan upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Boyden-Hull (Hull, IA) to play the Comets in a Siouxland bout on Friday, January 13. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Boyden-Hull lost 70-40 in their recent non-league bout against Unity Christian (Orange City, IA)

Next up, the Dutchmen play the Sheldon Orabs (Sheldon, IA) in a Siouxland bout, on Friday, January 13. MOC-Floyd Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Orabs come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 54-21 non-league loss to Hinton (Hinton, IA).
