Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Monmouth-Roseville Titans (Monmouth, IL), 50-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Sherrard upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Central/Southeastern (Camp Point, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 18-2. Central/Southeastern won 36-32 in their recent non-league bout against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Macomb Bombers (Macomb, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Monmouth-Roseville will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record. The Bombers come into the challenge with a 12-10 record after their 46-31 league win over Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL).
