The West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) basketball nipped the visiting New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS), 48-42 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 20-1 record.
The Bulldogs now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they host North Pontotoc for a 4A Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 17. New Albany will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 49-47 league loss to Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Vikings record now stands at 7-6.
