New Jersey High School Basketball - West Essex can't hold off Central

The Central Blue Devils basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting West Essex Knights to 61 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Grove for a Super Essex - Independence contest on Thursday, January 19.

The Knights (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (Maplewood, NJ). The Cougars enter the Freelance contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Columbia nudged East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ), 38-16, in a non-league contest.
