North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Halifax beaten by Northampton County

January 12, 2023: Gaston, NC 27832

The Northampton County Jaguars ran past the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team by a final score of 49-37 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Jaguars face the Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC) in a 1A Conference 9 game, on Friday, January 13. Northampton County will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 0-8 record after their 52-18 league loss to Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC).

With the defeat, Northwest Halifax moves to 8-6 on the year. The Vikings travel to Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to face the Eagles in a 1A Conference 9 game on Friday, January 13. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 4-6. Warren County won 57-34 in their recent league game against Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC)
