Ohio High School Basketball - Wellston can't hold off River Valley

The River Valley Raiders basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets to 43 in the Raiders league triumph on Thursday.

The Raiders now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Gallia for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. River Valley will battle a Rebels team coming off a 66-20 league win over Southern (Racine, OH). The Rebels record now stands at 13-2.

The Golden Rockets (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Adena (Frankfort, OH). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Adena nudged Westfall (Williamsport, OH), 48-40, in a league contest.
