Mississippi High School Basketball - St. Joseph knocked off by McEvans

The McEvans Warriors basketball team scored 54 points and held the host St. Joseph Fighting Irish to 41 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Warriors now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Delta for a 1A Region 5 contest on Friday, January 13. McEvans will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-12 league loss to Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.
The Fighting Irish (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Winona Christian (Winona, MS). The Stars enter the MAIS 4A District 2 contest with a 19-3 record.
