The Wayne Christian Eagles basketball team (Goldsboro, NC), was overwhelmed 83-49 in Thursday's league battle with the host Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC)
The Chargers now possess a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host John Paul II Catholic for a NCISAA Coastal Plain battle on Friday, January 13. Wayne Country Day will confront a Saints team coming off a 48-34 non-league win over Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC). The Saints record now stands at 9-2.
The Eagles (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lee Christian (Sanford, NC). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Lee Christian was overwhelmed by Cape Fear Christian Academy (Erwin, NC), 56-14, in a non-league battle.
