California High School Basketball - Evergreen Valley can't hold off Pioneer

The Pioneer Mustangs basketball team scored 32 points and held the visiting Evergreen Valley Cougars to 31 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.
The Mustangs now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del Mar for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Pioneer will battle a Dons team coming off a 29-15 league win over Yerba Buena (San Jose, CA). The Dons record now stands at 2-7.
The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Branham (San Jose, CA). The Bruins enter the contest with a 10-1 record. In their last contest, Branham nudged Pioneer (San Jose, CA), 45-32, in a league contest.
