The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball team scored 29 points and held the host West Henderson Falcons to 27 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a contest on Friday, January 20. Tuscola will battle a Panthers team coming off a 40-9 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 11-1.

The Falcons (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights enter the contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, North Henderson was nudged by Pisgah (Canton, NC), 52-11, in a league contest.
