Edgewood Lions (West Covina, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Ganesha Giants (Pomona, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Lions face the Garey Vikings (Pomona, CA) in a Miramonte challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Edgewood will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Pomona (Pomona, CA).
The Giants now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Puente for a Miramonte challenge on Tuesday, January 17. Ganesha will face a Warriors team coming off a 5-0 league win over Bassett (La Puente, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-3.
