In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Battle Mountain Huskies (Edwards, CO) ice hockey team nudged the host Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO), by a margin of 3-2.
The Huskies now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Air Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. Battle Mountain will clash with a Kadets team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO). The Kadets record now stands at 0-8.
The Rangers (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Resurrection Christian (Loveland, CO). The Cougars enter the 5A Central challenge with a 2-5 record.
