Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA), 64-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chico upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA) to play the Cougars in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 13-3.

The Spartans (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Enterprise (Redding, CA). The Hornets come into the battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Enterprise was toppled by Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA), 77-43, in a league battle.
