Galena Grizzlies (Reno, NV) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Damonte Ranch Mustangs (Reno, NV), 56-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Galena upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV) to play the Cougars in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 16-1. Spanish Springs won 65-44 in their recent league bout against Reed (Sparks, NV)

Next up, the Mustangs play the McQueen Lancers (Reno, NV) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Damonte Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Lancers come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 39-37 league win over Carson (Carson City, NV).
