In Thursday's league outing, the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) basketball squad beat the host Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC), by a count of 40-28.
The Bulldogs (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lake City (Lake City, SC). The Panthers go into the outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Lake City was topped by East Clarendon (Turbeville, SC), 28-23, in a non-league outing.
The Gators now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Darlington for a outing on Wednesday, January 18. Lakewood will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 39-35 league win over Crestwood (Sumter, SC). The Falcons record now stands at 10-1.
