Oakwood Hawks (Morgan Hill, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Monte Vista Christian Mustangs (Watsonville, CA), 49-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oakwood upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA) to play the Pirates in a bout on Saturday, January 21. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Seaside Spartans (Seaside, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Monte Vista Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
