New Life Academy Bobcats (Elizabeth City, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Suffolk Christian Academy Knights (Suffolk, VA), 35-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, New Life Academy upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Rock Church (Franklin, VA) to play the Lions in a bout on Thursday, January 19. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 8-2. Rock Church won 45-30 in their recent league bout against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy (Windsor, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Victory Christian Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Suffolk Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 31-20 league win over Rock Church (Franklin, VA).
