Texas High School Basketball - Jonesboro can't hold off Abbott

The Abbott Panthers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Jonesboro Eagles to 54 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Texas Wind for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Abbott will battle a team coming off a 54-46 non-league win over Grace Academy (Georgetown, TX). The record now stands at 13-7.
The Eagles (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Oglesby (Oglesby, TX). The Tigers come into the 1A Region IV District 25 contest with a 2-2 record.
