Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX) and the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), witnessed Snyder's basketball squad nip Big Spring by a margin of 37-33.

The Tigers (8-14) will now prepare for their test against Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region I District 5 test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Sweetwater got by Levelland (Levelland, TX), 56-53, in a league test.

The Steers now own a 10-14 record. They play next when they host Lake View for a 4A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 16. Big Spring will encounter a Chiefs squad coming off a 97-37 league loss to Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 9-17.
