California High School Basketball - St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy winner over Bishop Montgomery

The St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) basketball felled the host Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA), 74-62 in Friday's league test.

The Warriors (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Shadow Hills (Indio, CA). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 7-13 record. In their last test, Shadow Hills was beaten by Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA), 67-51, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Village Christian for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Bishop Montgomery will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 93-58 non-league win over Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA). The Crusaders record now stands at 14-7.
