In Friday's league outing, the North Catholic Trojans (Cranberry Township, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA), by a count of 77-51.
The Trojans (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Beaver (Beaver, PA). The Bobcats go into the WPIAL 4A 2 outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, Beaver was crushed by Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA), 65-56, in a non-league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln Park Performing Arts for a WPIAL 4A 2 outing on Tuesday, January 16. Blackhawk will clash with a squad coming off a 67-61 league win over Central Valley (Monaca, PA). The record now stands at 10-3.
