North Carolina High School Basketball - Bunker Hill tops East Burke

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) and the visiting East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), saw Bunker Hill's basketball squad knock off East Burke by a count of 72-59.

With the victory, Bunker Hill upgrades its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Bears host Maiden (Maiden, NC) to play the Blue Devils in a 2A Catawba Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Maiden lost 58-53 in their recent league challenge against Bandys (Catawba, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. East Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 79-65 league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC).
