Texas High School Basketball - Midlothian Heritage can't hold off Burleson

The Burleson Elks basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Midlothian Heritage Jaguars to 71 in the Elks league triumph on Friday.
The Elks now sport a 13-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mansfield Summit for a 5A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Burleson will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 66-40 league win over Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 15-8.
The Jaguars (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Centennial (Burleson, TX). The Spartans enter the 5A Region I District 8 contest with a 8-16 record. In their last contest, Centennial nudged Burleson (Burleson, TX), 68-30, in a league contest.
