St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph Central upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Irish host Buffalo (Buffalo, WV) to clash with the Bison in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Buffalo won 91-85 in their recent non-league bout against Teays Valley Christian (Scott Depot, WV)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Cabell Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Musketeers go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 66-49 league win over Russell (Russell, KY).
