Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (Carmichaels, PA), 68-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fort Cherry upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Riverview (Oakmont, PA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 14. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Riverview won 81-60 in their recent league bout against Leechburg (Leechburg, PA)

Next up, the Mighty Mikes play the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (Houston, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Carmichaels will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 60-55 league loss to Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA).
