Central York Panthers (York, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northeastern Bobcats (Manchester, PA), 71-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Central York improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Downingtown West (Downingtown, PA) to confront the Whippets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Whippets come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Downingtown West won 59-44 in their recent league challenge against Downingtown East (Exton, PA)

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Spring Grove Rockets (Spring Grove, PA) in a York-Adams 1 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Northeastern will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 61-36 league loss to Red Lion (Red Lion, PA).
