In Friday's league outing, the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) basketball squad edged the host Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), by a margin of 71-65.

The Wildcats (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals go into the Dogwood outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, William Campbell held off Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA), 51-49, in a league outing.

The Cavaliers now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Gretna for a Dogwood outing on Tuesday, January 16. Chatham will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 68-51 league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 5-6.
