The Soddy Daisy Trojans (Soddy Daisy, TN) basketball nipped the visiting Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN), 55-54 in Friday's league test.

The Trojans (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Hixson (Hixson, TN). The Wildcats go into the 3A District 6 test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Hixson was tipped by Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN), 48-46, in a non-league test.

The Pounders now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they host East Ridge for a 3A District 6 test on Friday, January 19. Chattanooga Central will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 93-64 league loss to Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-7.
