The Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) basketball knocked off the host East Forsyth Broncos (Gainesville, GA), 80-67 in Friday's league test.
The Bears (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Walnut Grove went down by Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA), 58-56, in a non-league test.
The Broncos now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to West Forsyth for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 16. East Forsyth will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 68-64 league win over Denmark (Alpharetta, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-5.
