Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL), 67-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Waterloo upgrades its record to 3-13 on the season. The Cougars travel to Brooks (Killen, AL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Brooks won 67-38 in their recent non-league bout against Sheffield (Sheffield, AL)

Next up, the Indians play the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering Sentinels (Huntsville, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Cherokee will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record.
