Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA), 63-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Dragons travel to Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA) to play the Falcons in a AAAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, January 19. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-15.

Next up, the Gladiators play the Arabia Mountain Rams (Lithonia, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Clarke Central will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 76-69 league loss to Decatur (Decatur, GA).
