Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA), 64-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Christian Academy upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Grand Isle (Grand Isle, LA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Bears play the V.B. Glencoe Charter Gators (Franklin, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Highland Baptist Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record.
