Covenant Christian Cougars (Conroe, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Legacy Christian Academy Warriors (Beaumont, TX), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Covenant Christian upgrades its record to 13-12 on the season. The Cougars travel to Providence Classical (Spring, TX) to play the Paladins in a TAPPS 2A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Paladins go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Providence Classical lost 77-27 in their recent non-league bout against Legacy Prep Christian Academy (Magnolia, TX)

Next up, the Warriors play the St. Joseph Catholic Eagles (Bryan, TX) in a TAPPS 2A District 6 bout, on Friday, January 19. Legacy Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record.
