Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) and the host Creekview Grizzlies (Canton, GA), saw Sequoyah's basketball squad knock off Creekview by a count of 65-57.

With the victory, Sequoyah upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to River Ridge (Woodstock, GA) to play the Knights in a AAAAAA Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 8-10. River Ridge lost 71-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Buford (Buford, GA)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Creekview will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 66-45 league win over North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA).
