Dalhart Wolves (Dalhart, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Spearman Lynx (Spearman, TX), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Dalhart upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Wolves host Bushland (Bushland, TX) to play the Falcons in a 3A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Bushland won 52-47 in their recent league bout against River Road (Amarillo, TX)

Next up, the Lynx play the Canadian Wildcats (Canadian, TX) in a 3A Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Spearman will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 60-44 league win over Tulia (Tulia, TX).
